WaterCAMPWS is actively providing encouragment and funding for under-represented groups to pursue graduate studies in the area of water purification. We participate in the MERGE and SURGE programs where potential minority and female graduate students from across the country are actively recruited to graduate school in engineering at the University of Illinois. Once at the University and involved with the center, WaterCAMPWS continues to provide support through mentoring programs designed to provide graduate students on-on-one assistance in academic and professional development. Another such avenue of development available to graduate students is the Student Leadership Council.
