The Materials Research Society (MRS) is a materials-blind organization focusing on the increasingly interdisciplinary nature of materials research. The MRS, through focused and diverse symposia, seeks to encourage interaction among researchers. The WaterCAMPWS is pleased to be a co-organizer of Symposium JJ - Materials Science of Water Purification at the Spring 2006 MRS Meeting.
The vision of the American Chemical Society (ACS) is to improve the lives of people through the transforming power of chemistry. Presently, there are 158,000 members in the ACS of all degree levels and all fields of chemistry. The ACS provides a broad range of opportunities for peer interaction and career development, regardless of professional or scientific interests.

Plan to participate in the 1st Water Quality, Drought, Human Health & Engineering Conference, October 18-20, 2006 Las Vegas, Nevada. This conference is organized by the American Society of Chemical Engineers. The goal is to provide a solutions-based forum and to exchange information regarding activities and plans for improving the quantity and quality of water, the impact on human health and engineering, and current policies from state and federal agencies. The Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars aims to unite the world of ideas to the world of policy by supporting pre-eminent scholarship and linking that scholarship to issues of concern to officials in Washington. The Center was established by Congress in 1968 as the official, national memorial to President Wilson.
